Safe Zone training to be held Jan. 25

Auburn employees are invited to attend Safe Zone training Tuesday, Jan. 25, from 12:45-4:45 p.m.

Every member of the Auburn Family deserves the opportunity to be academically and socially successful, including LBTQ+ students. Through Safe Zone training, attendees will participate in an interactive, professional development training designed to address issues related to working with LGBTQ+ students.

This educational session can empower and equip attendees to become informed allies who are willing to provide a safe environment for all Auburn students. Safe Zone addresses sexual orientation and gender identity topics, including terminology and ways to manage situations that may be encountered.

Registration takes place through Fast-Train. Anyone who is unable to make the Jan. 25 training day can contact Brandy Smith at bls0020@auburn.edu to coordinate training for your office, group or organization.
