Campus COVID-19 policies will remain in place for start of spring 2022 semester

As Auburn closes in on the end of a successful fall 2021 semester, the university is already planning for spring 2022. Auburn remains committed to providing a traditional on-campus, in-person experience while continuing to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. The university’s priority is to ensure a safe and healthy campus environment for all students, faculty and staff.
The university intends for the current COVID-19 policies to stay in place as the spring 2022 semester begins. Those policies include:

Auburn will continue to not require face coverings in most campus buildings for those who are fully vaccinated.

Faculty permitted to require face coverings in classrooms

Faculty members may require all students to wear a face covering during their classes if the faculty member has a face coverings requirement in their spring 2022 course syllabus.

Policy Changes
These policies, based on currently available information, are in effect until further notice. We will communicate to the campus community any modifications to this policy that result from changing circumstances.
