Additional days added for invasive plant removals

The Office of Sustainability and the Kreher Preserve and Nature Center, or KPNC, have added two additional invasive plant removal days. The additional days will be held at the Kreher Preserve and Nature Center on Dec. 7, 2021, and Dec. 15, 2021, from 1 p.m. -3 p.m.

Volunteers are asked to wear long pants, closed-toed shoes and bring their own water bottle. Tools will be provided, however, volunteers are asked to bring gloves, pruners, lopping shears and pruning saws if available. Volunteers can sign up on the Office of Sustainability GivePulse. Registering ahead of time is not required, but appreciated to ensure sufficient tools.

The invasive plant removal in the KPNC will prepare the area for a collaborative tree planting event planned for Jan. 25, 2022.
