Participants in Alabama Healthy Marriage and Relationship Education’s free relationship education classes can earn money
Article body
The Alabama Healthy Marriage and Relationship Education initiative at Auburn University wants you to invest in your couple relationship and earn money for survey completion.
Registration is currently open for class offerings, beginning Oct. 25 or Oct. 26. Classes are held in person on Mondays and virtually on Tuesdays. You have the option of choosing which day works best for you and your partner. Whichever day you pick, you will be randomly assigned to a weekly series—attend classes once a week for six weeks—or a monthly series—attend classes once a month for six months.
All classes are free from 6-8 p.m., with meals beginning at 5:30 p.m., for in-person classes. Childcare is available. Virtual participants will receive a meal gift card the day after each session attended.
All classes will present ELEVATE, an evidence-based relationship education program that teaches couples how to take their relationships to the next level by focusing on core relationship skills. This video shows what classes look like, and this video explains the Alabama Healthy Marriage and Relationship Education initiative.
All couples who register will have the opportunity to participate in a program impact study and receive payment for completing for surveys over one year. Each person can earn up to $160 over one year for completing the impact study surveys, or $320 per couple. You’ll also be eligible for a program completion payment of $30 per person if you complete all sessions.
