Tickets on sale for exhibition preview party, live music at museum

The Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art at Auburn University is hosting an exhibition preview party at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 7. Admission is $50 for a sneak peek and reception for “The Joy Fields,” featuring a new survey of vibrant large-scale abstract paintings by Whitney Wood Bailey, an Auburn Class of 2005 graduate, as well as “Anila Quayyum Agha: The Weight of Black,” an immersive experience of light and shadow by the internationally renowned Pakistani American artist and “Outside In,” which pairs Audubon etchings and insect specimens from Auburn’s Museum of Natural History.
