Auburn making COVID-19 booster shot available to certain eligible individuals

Following the recent authorization by the Food and Drug Administration and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Pfizer’s COVID-19 booster shot is now being made available at Auburn University to the following individuals eligible for a third dose of the vaccine six months after receiving their second Pfizer shot:

• Individuals 65 and older

• Residents in long-term care settings

• Individuals age 18-64 with underlying health conditions

• Individuals age 18–64 at increased risk for COVID-19 exposure and transmission because of occupational or institutional setting
