Mock Interview Day to be held Sept. 7 and 8
Article body
The University Career Center is hosting a two-day Mock Interview Day on Sept. 7 and 8 from 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. for all currently enrolled students at Auburn. For Mock Interview Day, industry recruiters and employers are volunteering their time to meet in person and via Zoom and provide practice interviews for students. Students will be paired to interview with an individual that works with, or recruits for, your specific major. https://aub.ie/MID
Each interview will last approximately 30 minutes which includes feedback from the interviewer on what was done well ad what could be improved. Mock interviews will be a way for students to practice. However, the interview will be much more than “just practice.”
Visit the interview tip page and campus career closet to prepare and be able to present in the same way you would for a real interview.
Benefits include:
• Gaining experience interviewing and building confidence
• Receiving interview feedback, tips and suggestions
• Reducing anxiety about the interview process
• Asking industry-specific questions to employers and recruiters
To enhance the experience during Mock Interview Day, the University Career Center asks that students register now and let them know their intended career field, major and times available to be matched with an appropriate professional. Participants will receive a confirmation email with a set time and professional prior to the event.
