The Department of Theatre and Dance in the College of Liberal Arts has announced that performances are back in-person at the Telfair Peet Theatre for this upcoming 2021-22 season.

This academic year marks the 108th season of theatre at Auburn University.

“Our theme for this season—Glimmers in the Dark: Tales of Grit and Grace—celebrates the return of live performance while also honoring the many challenges of the past year. After semesters of pivoting, we look forward to plays, pirouettes, and people returning to our spaces,” said Chase Bringardner, chair of the Department of Theatre and Dance.

The 2021-22 season of theatre and dance explores our collective journey from childhood to adulthood, and the untapped potential within each of us. Sometimes it helps to remember the fairytale, to seek hope, and to look for glimmers in the dark.

“As we enter a new season, we remain committed to and focused on our students’ work each and every day; the past year confirmed our strong belief that our students, staff, and faculty are some of the hardest working on campus,” Bringardner said.

Auburn University Theatre and Dance intends to present their season live and in person, observing health and safety policies of Auburn University and CDC guidelines at the time of production. These policies are subject to change and will be posted at www.auburnuniversitytheatre.edu and at the production venue prior to the performance.

This season’s line up begins with “A Doll’s House,” which runs Sept. 30–Oct. 6 on the mainstage in Telfair B. Peet Theatre. Tickets are available now for the show and for the entire season by going to https://theatretickets.auburn.edu/Online/default.asp
