Marketing professors receive 'Best Paper' award from Category 1 journal

Three Harbert College marketing professors’ research has been recognized on a national platform.

Associate professors Dora Bock and Jeremy Wolter, and O.C. Ferrell, eminent scholar in ethics and director of the Center for Ethical Organizational Cultures at Auburn University, received the “Best Paper” award by the Journal of Services Marketing, a Category 1 journal, for their study, “Artificial Intelligence: Disrupting what we know about services.”

The paper, published in February 2020, examines artificial intelligence’s current and potential impact on prominent service theories as related to the service encounter within retail, or other business interactions that utilize the technology.
