Campus Safety has received several reports of AU ALERT phone calls being marked as potential spam on cell phones, resulting in the calls being silenced and not being sent to voicemail. Campus safety is working with its emergency notification vendor to investigate this. In the meantime, here are a few things students, faculty and staff can do:

  1. Make sure that you have saved AU ALERT as a contact in your phone (334-844-0911).

  2. Sign up to receive text messages as an alternate method of notification.

  3. Download the free Auburn Safety app to receive push notifications to your phone as well.

As a reminder, AU ALERT messages are only sent for situations that require your immediate action for your safety on campus, or to convey critical, time-sensitive information. If you have any other questions or concerns about AU ALERT, email aualert@auburn.edu.
