Each June, we celebrate Pride Month! Pride Month annually coincides with the Stonewall Uprising of June 28, 1969, a catalytic event toward advancing LGBTQ+ rights. Pride Month is rooted in the acceptance and celebration of the full spectrum of diversity and promotes self-affirmation, dignity and equality of the LGBTQ+ community.

We encourage you to participate in Pride Month by engaging in learning experiences and celebrations within and beyond campus. You can learn more about LGBTQ+ voices and groups across campus by engaging with the Office of Inclusion and Diversity’s social media and webpage. Additionally, the Office of Inclusion, Equity and Diversity in the College of Sciences and Mathematics has developed excellent resources on the pride movement and LGBTQ+ culture. We also encourage finding opportunities to connect with the important work of Women’s & Gender Studies in the College of Liberal Arts.

The Office of Inclusion and Diversity recognizes the historic impact of LGBTQ+ individuals, advocates and allies. Auburn is committed to fostering a community where all can thrive. We invite you to celebrate love and uplift diversity, equity and inclusion.
