Welcome Week and The First 56 event submission form available
Article body
Welcome Week and the First 56 serves as Auburn's official welcome to new and returning students, intentionally helping students make Auburn feel like their home away from home. Welcome Week will run from Aug. 9-20 and First 56 will carry through Oct. 9.
Going beyond Welcome Week, it allows the university to support students with opportunities to engage in and develop healthy behaviors during a critical time when habits are typically formed, which are their first 56 days on campus.
Organizations and units across campus can help make Welcome Week and the First 56 a success by hosting an event, open house, tabling or any other way to welcome students. The University Program Council’s Welcome Week team recognizes that event guidelines continue to change in response to COVID-19 and future developments could impact event details, however, the team wishes to collect proposed event and contact information so that any updates can be communicated.
By submitting an event as an official Welcome Week/First 56 event, the University Program Council will promote the event through the Auburn Guides mobile app, through the Student Involvement website and social media and with physical schedules and publicity during Welcome Week and the First 56.
Those interested in submitting an event as part of Welcome Week and the First 56 should fill out and submit a form by Monday, Aug. 2, at 5 p.m. The form can be found by clicking here. For more information, or if a deadline extension is needed, contact Dana Gramuglia at welcome@auburn.edu.
