“Indispensable” and “dedicated” are just two of the many adjectives used to describe Auburn’s Employees of the Year.

The four honorees were chosen from over 40 monthly Spirit of Excellence winners and were recognized during last month’s Employee Recognition Program. They are:

• Ann Chambliss, Alabama Cooperative Extension System, or ACES, Admin/Professional

• William Dempster, Facilities, Service/Maintenance

• Joshua Henderson, Office of Information Technology, Technical/Paraprofessional

• Laura Olds, Samuel Ginn College of Engineering, Office Admin

Two employees who have worked at Auburn for 40-plus years were also recognized at the program: Diana Pugh, ACES, Elmore County, and Cynthia Philpot, Business Admin.

Additional information on the winners is available here.

Auburn University Human Resources, or AUHR, hosted this year’s program. The Auburn University Foundation, the Auburn University Bookstore, the A&P Professional Development Committee and the Office of Alumni Affairs also offered support.

Last month, the university recognized nearly 500 employees for reaching service milestones (5 years, 10 years, 15 years, etc.) Milestone employees were invited to participate in a “drive-thru” celebration at the Administrative Complex where they picked up their gifts. Employees who recently graduated from the university were also honored.
