Campus Food Pantry wins SEC Fight

Auburn Cares recently won the SEC Fight—an SEC competition among food pantries—by receiving $43,119 and 3,557 donated canned food items.

“We are very blessed by these gifts,” said Auburn Cares Coordinator Sarah Grace Walters. “This money will sustain us for quite a while, especially as we expand our offerings and move into a new space later this year.”

Every dollar donated was worth three points and every food item donated was worth two points. Other SEC schools that competed in the competition included Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Kentucky, Missouri, Ole Miss, South Carolina and Tennessee.
