Gladden receives award from Environmental and Exercise Physiology Section of the American Physiological Society

Bruce Gladden, the Humana-Germany-Sherman Distinguished Professor in Auburn’s School of Kinesiology, was honored last month with the 2020 Honor Award from the Environmental and Exercise Physiology Section of the American Physiological Society. The award recognizes a previous or current primary member of the section who is 60 years of age or older and has made significant research contributions to the scientific advancement of environmental, exercise, thermal, or applied physiology while making significant contributions to enhancing the objectives of the Section.

Gladden is director of the Muscle Physiology Lab at Auburn. He also serves as president-elect of the American College of Sports Medicine and editor-in-chief of Medicine & Science in Sports & Exercise.
