National Bike to Work Week is a part of Bike Month, sponsored by the League of American Bicyclists, and is May 17-21. The Auburn Bicycle Committee and the offices of Transportation Services and Sustainability will honor employees' personal commitment to ecofriendly transportation on National Bike to Work Day, May 21. There will be two Energizer Stations on campus where employees can stop by, chat with like-minded bike commuters and enjoy fresh coffee and donuts. Those participating in National Bike to Work Day are contributing to a better planet and should reward themsleves with a treat and the camaraderie of fellow cycle commuters.

The event will be held from 7:15-9 a.m. Friday, May 21. The stations will be located on Ross Square near Samford Hall and on South Donahue along the multiuse trail between Woodfield Drive and Lem Morrison Drive. Information from Transportation Services will be at both locations to provide an update on its E-Bike AU Initiative, an electric bike-share program that will be starting this fall.

Particpants should bring a mug for coffee and a mask to protect fellow cyclists.
