The Global Studies program in the College of Human Sciences turns the world into a classroom, focusing on understanding the diverse nature of other cultures and offering a global perspective on topics such as hunger, environmental, sustainability and entrepreneurship.

In the latest edition of In the Halls of Spidle, Kate Thornton, director of global education in the college, shares how the program opens countless doors of opportunity for graduates who want to change the world. She notes that for those program graduates who have applied to law school, all have been accepted.

Thornton also talks about the new Master of Development Practice, the only degree program of its kind in Alabama, and how it could equip students from starting a non-profit to impacting the corporate world.
