Faculty officer election results announced

On March 30 during the spring General Faculty meeting, Senate chair-elect Todd Steury announced the results of the faculty elections conducted for the incoming chair-elect and secretary-elect positions.

Mark Carpenter from the Department of Mathematics and Statistics has been elected to the position of chair-elect and Lucretia Tripp from the Department of Curriculum and Teaching has been elected to the position of secretary-elect. Their terms will begin with the 2021-22 academic year.

The new chair-elect and secretary-elect will move into those positions during the annual change of faculty leadership on July 1, when Todd Steury will assume the office of chair of the University Senate and Ralph Kingston will become secretary of the Senate, succeeding Donald Mulvaney as chair and Greg Schmidt as secretary. After working with Steury and Kingston for a year, those elected this time will move into the leadership positions in July 2022.

Lucretia Tripp from the Department of Curriculum and Teaching has been elected to the position of secretary-elect. Mark Carpenter from the Department of Mathematics and Statistics has been elected to the position of chair-elect. Their terms will begin with the 2021-22 academic year.
