Auburn University has the opportunity to bring the General Automation Lab Equipment, or GALT, "Prospector" to campus. The prospector can do massively parallel microbial cultivation of bacteria from complex microbiome samples such as the human gut, soil and rhizosphere. The system uses a highly dense array of nanoscale cultivation chambers that can grow thousands of microcolonies in parallel.

On Feb. 11 from 1-2 p.m., GALT will host a virtual presentation about the equipment and its capabilities. Interested faculty members can register by clicking here.
