Live broadcast to be offered of Harold D. Melton Student Center name unveiling

In adherence to social distancing guidelines, Auburn University will offer a live broadcast of the Nov. 20 ceremony to unveil the student center's new name—the Harold D. Melton Student Center. The Auburn Family is asked to join the celebration virtually at https://aub.ie/meltonceremony as the ceremony begins at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 20. The Auburn Board of Trustees voted Sept. 4 to name the center for Melton, chief justice of the Georgia Supreme Court and the first African American elected as the university’s student body president in 1987. The Nov. 20 unveiling ceremony will include remarks from key university officials as well as those from Melton.
