November is Open Enrollment Month at Auburn University. There are numerous resources available to help benefits-eligible employees and their dependents as they select their benefits, including a new virtual benefits fair, benefits enrollers and the website aub.ie/benefits.

From now until Nov. 30, Auburn University Human Resources is offering a virtual benefits fair with information about the comprehensive benefit options that are offered to employees and their dependents. The fair can be accessed by visiting aub.ie/benefitsfair. The website includes videos and information or vendor resources along with webinar options that will be offered live and on-demand. Everyone who attends the fair and completes a brief survey will be entered into a door prize drawing for items offered by participating vendors.

Benefits enrollers are available for those needing assistance with online enrollment. Appointments may be scheduled online at aub.ie/enrollers, or by calling 833-203-4283. Enrollers will be available each Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m., and on Fridays from 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m. (Enrollers will not be available Nov. 26-27 because of the Thanksgiving holiday.)

IMPORTANT: Employees do not have to use the online scheduling tool, but it is highly recommended. Inbound calls may not be answered immediately, and call back times will vary based on availability between the prescheduled appointments. Scheduling a call online is the best way to speak to someone at a time that is convenient for the employee.

Open Enrollment continues until 4:45 p.m. on Nov. 30, 2020. IRS regulations do not allow for plan enrollment or changes beyond this deadline unless there is a qualifying event during the year. Examples of qualifying events include marriage, divorce, birth of a child, etc.

Employees who need assistance with online enrollment should contact a benefits enroller. For all other questions, email benefit@auburn.edu or call Teresa Coker, benefits manager, at 334-844-1789 or Gary Gray, assistant benefits manager, at 334-844-4122.
