All Auburn University employees are mandatory reporters of child abuse and neglect. Take a moment to review the updated Reporting of Child Abuse and Neglect Policy. If you know or have reasonable cause to suspect that child abuse or neglect has occurred:
If you have questions about mandatory reporting responsibilities or youth protection, contact Risk Management and Safety at 844-2626 or youthprotection@auburn.edu.
- Call 911 if the child is in imminent danger.
- Do not question the child or the person suspected of improper behavior.
- Report the information to the Department of Human Resources by phone, followed by a written report.
- Inform your supervisor and the Executive Director of Campus Safety and Security.
