American Institute of Architecture Students set for 32nd Annual Pumpkin Carve on Oct. 30

The Auburn chapter of American Institute of Architecture Students, or AIAS, will host the 32nd Annual Pumpkin Carve on Friday, Oct. 30, and invites all students, faculty and the Auburn/Opelika community to get involved in the popular event.

Pumpkin Carve will take place in the Dudley Courtyard, and participants will be able to buy and carve pumpkins and T-shirts to commemorate the event. Participants can carve the pumpkins at home or at carving tables in Graves Amphitheater. Masks are required, hand sanitizer and extra masks will be provided, and social distancing measures will be utilized to keep everyone safe at the event.

Capacity will be limited for the event, which is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. CT. To attend virtually, please follow the instructions provided on the Pumpkin Carve website.

College of Architecture, Design and Construction, or CADC, professors will judge the competition, and photos of the carved pumpkins will be uploaded to the Pumpkin Carve website for everyone to view. Prizes are available for winners, and napkin sketches created by CADC faculty and members of the community will be available for a virtual silent auction.
