OID hosting events in honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month

Auburn University’s Office of Inclusion and Diversity, or OID, will host several events in the coming weeks in honor of October’s status as Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

OID has been working hard to bring awareness to domestic violence and will continue a monthlong series of events on Wednesday, Oct. 21. That day’s lineup begins with a virtual trauma-centered yoga session with Meg Smith (Zoom ID: 844 8146 8144) from 3:30-4:30 p.m. CT, continues with a virtual self-defense session with Auburn Campus Safety (Zoom ID: 885 6858 5771) from 5-6 p.m. and is capped by BurgerFi Benefit Night from 5-8 p.m. at BurgerFi at 339 S. College Street in Auburn.

The office has a pair of activities scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 28, as well. That day’s lineup begins with a virtual Title IX Lunch & Learn Zoom session (Zoom ID: 819 2529 0296) from noon-1 p.m. and conclude with Chipotle Benefit Night from 5-9 p.m. at the Auburn Chipotle location at 346 W. Magnolia Ave.
