Auburn University will again waive its new student admission application fee for in-state residents Oct. 19-23.

During that timeframe, Alabama residents can visit aub.ie/tigers2020 and use the code ALCAC2020 to activate the fee waiver and apply for admission to the Auburn campus. The offer—which will end at 11:59 p.m. on Oct. 23—is part of the Alabama College Application Week statewide initiative.

This initiative aligns with an Auburn drive to expand opportunities for students and their families and comes as various application deadlines near. Auburn’s final early action deadline will occur on Dec. 1 for those wanting scholarship consideration.

Auburn also recently announced that housing applications will open starting in November. Recently, Auburn implemented some modifications to its existing admissions procedures for the fall 2021 semester due to standardized testing sites continuing to be limited amid the ongoing global pandemic.

As such, Auburn is offering more flexible options— designed in the best interest of the student to help prevent applicant delays. As part of those modifications, any valedictorian or salutatorian from an accredited Alabama school with 50 or more graduates will qualify for admission and be accepted into the Honors College. All fall 2021 student applicants will receive holistic review, consisting of an evaluation of core classes, high school grade point average, answers to short answer questions and one of the following supplemental documents: a graded writing assignment, ACT or SAT score report, expanded resume or AP or IB score report.
