Special Collections and Archives begins archive of COVID-19 pandemic
Article body
As part of its mission to document the history of Auburn University, the Auburn University Libraries’ Special Collections and Archives department is collecting artifacts of the university’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic. These archives will be preserved so future scholars can research how the university community handled the pandemic.
“We’re asking all units of the university to contribute to this new collection,” said Tommy Brown, lead archivist. “Understanding how Auburn reacted to the pandemic will be very important in the future. Any smaller objects like posters, correspondence, pamphlets, photographs or other items demonstrating how the various units handled the pandemic would be most welcome.”
Anyone wishing to donate items may contact Tommy Brown at brownt6@auburn.edu or 334-844-1733 to ask questions or arrange for items to be transferred to Special Collections and Archives.
