Auburn University’s Samuel Ginn College of Engineering has launched a new virtual camp geared toward middle schoolers interested in computer science.

The free camp, Virtual Computer Science and Arts for All Jr., or CSA4All Jr., will be held on Saturdays in October and early November from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. with an hourlong lunch break. It is open to students in 6th through 8th grades.

Each camper will need a desktop or laptop computer with a stable internet connection and access to Zoom.

CSA4All Jr., developed by the Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering, will introduce students to computer science, computational thinking concepts and applications using computer and robotics programming frameworks, such as Scratch, Ear Sketch and Lego EV3 Robotics (via web-based simulation platforms).

Camp details, dates and the application form can be found by clicking here. For more information, contact camp coordinator Daniela Marghitu at
