The U.S. Department of Education published new Title IX regulations on May 6, which institute processes and procedures that take effect today, Aug. 14, for alleged incidents of sexual harassment occurring after that date.
In response to the changes provided in the regulations, Auburn University created two new policies: the Title IX Sexual Harassment Policy and the Policy Against Discrimination and Harassment. Combined, these policies allow the university to remain committed to providing a work and educational environment free of discrimination and harassment while remaining equally committed to the principle of equal opportunity in education and employment. The policies may be accessed via the AU Policy Database.
