In keeping with the A Healthier U initiative and campus mask requirement, a student organization in the College of Human Sciences will be producing and selling face masks.

Students in the Apparel Merchandising and Design Association, or AMDA, which is comprised of apparel merchandising, design and production management majors, and other students in the college’s Department of Consumer and Design Sciences have committed to using repurposed fabric for handmade, fashionable masks.

“Given the talents of our apparel, merchandising and design members, and the fact that this fundraiser corresponds to much of what we have learned in the classroom, we knew that we could produce and sell masks to benefit the Auburn University community and anyone desiring a mask,” said AMDA President Elizabeth Bundrick. “Many students are working in production, while others are involved in inventory management and order fulfillment. Ultimately, we wanted to be a part of the solution by contributing to the A Healthier U initiative.”

Each mask will be sold for $5 and orders must be placed by the end of the day, Wednesday, Aug. 12. Order now to have for the first day of classes. Orders can be placed here.
