Risk Management and Safety receives national award recognition for communications and marketing
Article body
Auburn' Risk Management and Safety, or RMS, was recognized by the Campus Safety, Health and Environment Management Association, or CSHEMA, for its marketing, communication and education efforts in 2019 and 2020. CHSEMA is the only organization focused entirely on Environmental Health and Safety professionals in higher education.
Auburn RMS received second place in the marketing campaign category for its work during Camp Fire Safety Month. This campaign included a pet decal project with the College of Veterinary Medicine, promotional items, an interactive on-campus game show and more.
Auburn RMS received first place in Marketing Single Media for its “Clean, Closed and Labeled” flyer. This one sheet flyer was designed to keep laboratories at Auburn safe by emphasizing the important ways to store hazardous waste. It included QR code links to a lab inspection report and to different sized waste labels for proper waste storage in satellite accumulation areas.
