To ensure the health and safety of our residents and their families, Auburn University Housing, or AUH, has created a Safe and Simple Move-in plan. A detailed plan has been sent to all residents, and major updates can be found below. For more information regarding move-in and to stay up-to-date on any announcements or changes, go to the AUH website or follow on social media @housingatAU.

Multiple Days

Move-in will take place over the following days:

  • Returning Panhellenic member move-in: July 31-Aug. 3

  • Panhellenic Recruitment and early move-in: Aug. 4-7

  • Regular move-in: Aug. 10-14

  • 160 Ross move-in: Aug. 13

Move-in Registration

Move-in registration is open and will close on July 10. Incoming residents received a time slot to their Auburn email account to log into the student portal to register for a move-in arrival time. Each resident will be able to access the move-in registration once their time slot opens until registration closes. Note: Anyone who registers for an early move-in day (prior to Aug. 10) will be charged a $90 early move-in fee to their student account.

Move-in Arrival Times

The first arrival time will be at 7 a.m. and the last arrival time will be at 4 p.m. each day, except Aug. 7. In preparation for Panhellenic recruitment, the last arrival time will be at 2 p.m. on Aug. 7. Residents will choose their arrival time slot during move-in registration.

Check-in Process

The check-in process will be a curbside check-in. Residents and their families will drive up to the designated check-in location during their registered arrival time and will show staff their arrival time email and a photo ID and will give their name, hall and room number. For more details regarding the check-in process, go to the housing website.

Residents who arrive outside of their arrival time will not be able to move in until their registered time.

Arrival and Unloading Belongings

Residents will be limited to two vehicles and no box trucks and/or trailers will be allowed. Additionally, we ask that all residents limit the number of people they bring with them to 2-3 people per resident. To maximize the health and safety of our residents, there will be no volunteers available to assist during move-in. We will be unable to provide move-in equipment to assist with move-in, but residents are welcome to bring their own items, such as wagons or dollies. We encourage residents to label both their belongings and any equipment they bring to move themselves in.

Overnight Stay

For residents' families needing a place to stay overnight, The Hotel at Auburn University and Dixon Conference Center will be offering a special move-in rate of $134. Reservations can be made using the link MOVEINRATE for any day between Aug. 1 and Aug. 16, except for the weekend of graduation on Aug. 6-7.
