School of Kinesiology professor participating in SEC COVID-19 webinar on health disparities and inequities

School of Kinesiology professor Michael Brown will represent Auburn at the Southeastern Conference’s, or SEC, COVID-19 webinar “A Pandemic in Our Communities—Health Disparities, Health Inequities and Possible Solutions.” The event is set for Wednesday, June 24, from 1-3 p.m.
 
The COVID-19 webinar will be comprised of medical, public health and community leaders discussing the unique challenges of health disparities and health inequities found in their communities and offer examples of plans and solutions. The two-hour webinar includes four 25-minute panel discussions, which will be moderated by chief diversity officers from various SEC schools. The webinar will also include local government officials from cities and areas that are home to SEC schools.
 
Brown will serve as a panelist from 2:15-2:40 p.m., alongside Sen. Reginald Thomas from Lexington, Kentucky.
