University Outreach achieves COVID-19 initiative goal of distributing 10,000 face masks

University Outreach has achieved its goal of distributing over 10,000 face masks throughout the Auburn community. The volunteers have worked diligently to hand out face masks to police and fire departments, medical centers, doctor’s offices and assisted living homes, just to name a few locations.

Besides distributing the masks, volunteers have provided the materials needed to make the masks, ironed and folded the fabric and sewed the materials together. As of May 6, the volunteers have cut enough fabric to make 11,800 masks.
