Elizabeth Ivy Quansah, director of University Outreach’s Outreach Global Office, is the 2020 recipient of the International Leadership Award. This award, which is presented by the University Professional and Continuing Education Association, or UPCEA, recognizes an individual for their innovative leadership in global education programs, services, collaborations, partnerships and research.

"Dr. Quansah has demonstrated the leadership qualities and values needed for a global educational leader,” said Leslie Cordie, associate professor of Educational Foundations, Leadership and Technology.

“She has helped facilitate several high-level partnerships and Memorandums of Understandings that have solidified Auburn University Outreach efforts in many different parts of the world.”

According to Cordie, having multiple partnerships and networks across departments and fields has opened doors nationally and internationally for Auburn students, faculty and staff. Quansah has developed outreach projects with colleagues in the School of Nursing, College of Education, Harrison School of Pharmacy, College of Architecture, Design and Construction, College of Liberal Arts and the Social Work program.

“From intercultural workshops to community volunteering opportunities to educational experiences abroad, Quansah and the Global Outreach office are leading the way for continuing Auburn education across the globe,” Cordie said.
