Update on PPE procurement guidelines

The university is diligently working with suppliers to have an initial stock of PPE supplies on hand as soon as possible. The items will be stored at the Facilities Management warehouse and orders will be fulfilled on a first come first serve basis. PBS will be responsible for collecting all of the requests and submitting orders through the Facilities stockroom. As orders are ready, departments will be contacted regarding pickup. Orders will be charged back to each department by Facilities.

In an effort to streamline the ordering process, PBS has created an order form that must be used to request PPE supplies. Access the form at http://www.auburn.edu/administration/business-finance/pdf/pbs_PPE_order_form.pdf. The form can also be found on the PBS website. Complete the form and submit it to pperequests@auburn.edu.

Note: If a request has already been submitted via email, resubmit using this order form, as units of measure and availability of supplies have been confirmed.

As a reminder, and per the guidance issued from HR, individuals are expected to provide their own face coverings that meet or exceed CDC guidelines. The university will only purchase a small stock of disposable masks for departments to have for visitors or employees that may have forgotten a mask.

If you purchase PPE supplies (masks, gloves, gowns, etc.) as part of your normal operations (Vet Med, Pharmacy, AU Medical Clinic, Nursing, Facilities, Athletics, Housing, etc.) or you are located off campus, continue to procure those items through your regular sources.

If you have any issues with availability of the items, contact Missty Kennedy at kennem1@auburn.edu.
