Global academic advising advocacy group NACADA has awarded Linda Bruner, student services coordinator in the College of Human Sciences, an Outstanding New Advisor Award-Primary Advising Role Certificate of Merit.
She is one of 14 advisors in the nation to receive this award. NACADA’s awards program recognizes advisors and institutions that make a “significant impact on academic advising.”
Bruner advises all pre-health students in the college, serves as the peer tutoring program coordinator, advises roughly one-third of all human sciences students and advises the Kappa Omicron Nu honor society. In February, Bruner received Auburn University’s Outstanding New Advisor Award.
