The mission of AWW is to improve water quality and water policy through citizen monitoring and action. With a "data-to-action" focus, AWW helps volunteers collect, analyze and understand their water monitoring data to make positive impacts.
AWW is part of the Auburn University Water Resources Center and receives support from the Alabama Agricultural Experiment Station, Alabama Cooperative Extension System, the Alabama Water Watch Association (501(c)(3) nonprofit organization) and external funders.
