Shots fired is the last thing you expect to hear on campus. However, it is critical to spend time in advance to prepare yourself. Campus Safety and Security has specialized instructors that prepare students, faculty and staff to train the campus community in options to respond to an active shooter situation.

Students have three opportunities this semester to attend training:

  • Feb. 13 5-6:30 p.m.

  • March 24 5-6:30 p.m.

  • April 14 5-6:30 p.m.

The training will be held at Campus Safety and Security’s Emergency Operations Center located at 543 W Magnolia Avenue. Students do not have to register and there is no fee.

Employee Emergency Preparedness and Active Shooter Response Training is being offered Feb. 13, March 26 and April 23. To learn more about these courses and to register, go to Fast-Train.
