The Office of University Writing invites faculty to register for the spring WriteBites Chats series. Each chat will spotlight faculty who have taken innovative approaches to teaching writing in their classroom, whether they are using writing technologies, integrating ePortfolios, scaffolding writing assignments, using writing to support critical thinking or assessing writing. During each session, participants will explore how a theme is taken up by faculty across an array of disciplinary contexts and then discuss how they might adapt strategies to specific teaching situations.

The first session of the semester, “Revising Writing Assignments for High Impact,” will be held on Jan. 23 from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. in the ePortfolio Studio at Ralph Brown Draughon Library. Featured faculty for this session include Grey Parks of the Department of Animal Sciences and Emefa Monu of the Department of Poultry Science.

Interested faculty should click here to register before Jan. 20 or visit the WriteBites Chats website for more information about this and future events. Lunch will be provided.
