University Operations

Full university operations continuing, many on-campus services available

Auburn University continues to conduct full university operations, with the major exceptions of remote instruction, on-campus student housing, on-campus dining, Auburn Libraries and the Recreation and Wellness Center.

Many on-campus services are still available.
  • Auburn’s Facilities Management office is providing ongoing services to campus.  For a full list of those services, visit their update page.

  • Employee and student pharmacies are open, but hours have been adjusted to 8:30 a.m.–5 p.m. to allow employees time to clean and re-stock areas.

  • The university’s Division of Student Affairs is continuing on-campus housing, meals and essential services for international students or others unable to return home.

  • Auburn has issued research continuity guidance to faculty, noting no disruptions in research operations and that work is underway to ensure deadlines are met.

  • Mail delivery for faculty and staff continues, and special mail delivery instructions are available for students temporarily moved out of residence halls.

  • The College of Veterinary Medicine’s teaching hospitals, both in Auburn and Gulf Shores, are under restricted operations with certain guidelines.

  • Safe Harbor support services – available for any Auburn students and employees who have experienced power-based personal violence - continue with 24/7 free and confidential support by phone, video call and email.

  • Those needing to connect with an admissions advisor can visit Auburn’s undergraduate admissions page for more information. The Office of Admissions is not scheduling or rescheduling visits for the remainder of the spring or summer semester, but in the meantime those interested are encouraged to explore campus through our virtual tour.

  • Student Counseling and Psychological Services is providing updates through its website. Students can contact SCPS at 334-844-5123 for crisis support 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Both of the physical offices at the Medical Clinic Building and Haley Center are closed while remote instruction is occurring. Auburn employees are encouraged to contact the Employee Assistance Program at (800) 925-5EAP (5327).

  • Effective March 20, Auburn University’s Medical Clinic will be open on an adjusted schedule of 8:30 a.m. to noon and 1 to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays until further notice. As a reminder, anyone who believes they have or were exposed to someone who is positive for COVID-19 or have respiratory symptoms should call 334-844-9825. Calls after hours should be made to East Alabama Medical Center at 334-528-SICK (7425).
