Resources List

The Newsroom Right-pointing arrow

Our digital newsroom is the official source for Auburn University news. Updated daily, our site includes every news article and campus notice, plus a listing of Auburn stories covered by the news media. Both Auburn News, a twice-weekly electronic newsletter for faculty and staff, and This Week at Auburn, a weekly electronic newsletter for students, are produced with stories from The Newsroom.

News and Media Relations

Working with the faculty and campus communicators, we tell Auburn’s stories that reflect our land-grant mission. The areas we have identified as strategic priorities include academic achievement, research, outreach, family/spirit and outcomes.

Social Media

We maintain social media channels to interact with our constituents and communicate Auburn's story. Our office is a resource for other units developing and managing their own channels.

Web Development

We manage the design and content for the Auburn University home page, auburn.edu, and many second- and third-tier pages. From simple consulting to full-scale redevelopment, our multimedia experts work with schools and colleges in creating an attractive and effective web presence.

Media Training

Our experienced staff provides training and guidance for faculty and administrators before they meet with reporters. We can help develop a response strategy and work with experts to raise their comfort level and effectiveness when responding to media inquiries.

Crisis Communications

Our team manages the crisis communications plan, which is part of the university's overall emergency response plan. The main objective of the plan is to provide information quickly and effectively to appropriate audiences through a variety of channels.
