What does the Auburn Family mean to you?

The Auburn Family saturates every sphere of life at Auburn. It finds life in the students, alumni, and faculty, who keep the spirit of Auburn alive—a spirit that exalts kindness and mutual helpfulness, that encourages education and scholarship, that promotes unity and diversity, and a spirit that is not afraid to dare to do great things.

What sets Auburn apart academically?

I hope to attend medical school and have just begun undergraduate research focused on specific types of molecules called ligands, designed to appear on MRI scans to locale potentially dangerous and carcinogenic cells in the body. In just two months, I have greatly benefitted from the exposure to various lab techniques and to the professional chemistry community.

What advice would you offer new freshmen?

Freshman year is the best year to get involved with multiple clubs and organizations. Students use their freshman year to taste and see what kinds of involvement is available to them. Then, they can use their sophomore year to prune their involvement and stick with the things they love the most.
