Why is Auburn special to you?

As an out-of-state student, the thing that sets Auburn apart is the feeling of togetherness and community that is tangible everywhere on campus. I can walk down the concourse and see dozens of friendly faces, and I’m surrounded by faculty and administrators who want their students to feel secure and prepared for their life. Auburn truly is the friendliest place on earth.

How has Auburn prepared you for your career?

Throughout my time in the Harbert College of Business, I have had amazing advisors and professors who make sure all students have the real-life knowledge they need to thrive in a business setting. I have been able to prepare a good resume base, and I have had several opportunities to attend career fairs and begin to network with people in my field.

How did your study abroad internship benefit you?

I participated in a study abroad internship program in Dublin, Ireland, and was able to not only gain professional experience in the work place, but also earn class credit. I worked in sales and marketing with a technology company and it definitely put me outside my comfort zone.

How has your involvement on campus enhanced your Auburn experience?

My campus activities and involvement have played a huge role in helping me to realize that I want to give back to a university on a professional level and hopefully be able to make a career out of helping college students through such a vital time in their lives. On campus I am a Student Recruiter, a former Camp War Eagle Parent Counselor, a former Panhellenic Pi Chi, a member of Panhellenic Cabinet, a member of my social sorority, and in the Auburn community, I am a Young Life leader at a local high school. I am a much more confident person now because of the interview opportunities and leadership positions that I have been able to hold on campus.
