Emergency Operations Plan
The Auburn University Emergency Operations Plan outlines the university’s structure for responding to large scale emergencies and disasters.
Severe Weather Plan
Severe weather is Auburn’s most likely hazard. The Severe Weather Plan specifically addresses the university’s preparation for, response to, recovery from and mitigation of severe weather hazards.
Levels of Operation
Large scale emergencies and disasters can impact the normal operations of the university. This document specifies four possible levels of operation, from normal operations to full closure, based on the extent and impact of the incident.
Timely Warning and Emergency Notification
This plan specifies who is authorized to initiate timely warning crime notices and emergency notification messages; how messages are disseminated; and procedures for activating notification systems. Timely warnings (also called public safety notices) are sent when there may be an ongoing or serious threat to the campus community related to a crime which occurs on campus or on property owned or controlled by Auburn University or an officially recognized student organization. Emergency notification is sent when a situation is occurring on campus that requires immediate action for your safety.
NIMS Implementation Plan
The National Incident Management System (NIMS) Implementation Plan suggests which NIMS classes are suggested for employees based on their job position/duties.
