MEDIA POLICY

Media representatives are welcome to attend the 2018 SEC Academic Conference.

The SEC Academic Conference wants to ensure a professional forum in which presenters and other participants can discuss science-based issues freely. Concerns about proprietary research data and other information should be acknowledged and respected. Likewise, media representatives should be able to gather information they need for factual reporting.

Auburn University Office of Communications and Marketing staff members can help media arrange requested interviews. Members of the media should wear their designated media badge provided at check-in and identify themselves as a member of the media when talking with conference participants.

Media should obtain permission from the Auburn University Office of Communication and Marketing at 334.844.9999 before filming, taping, or otherwise recording any activity or interview at the SEC Academic Conference.

There are no media restrictions for coverage of keynote speakers.

PHOTO POLICY

Participants and attendees are permitted to take photos during the conference. By registering for this meeting, all participants agree to allow the conference to use their photo in any subsequent conference-related publication or website.

AUDIO AND VIDEO POLICY

Participants and attendees of the SEC Academic Conference are not permitted to record, film or tape any scientific session in its entirety.
