Research and creative scholarship are central to the continuing vitality and mission of a university. At Auburn University, faculty in all colleges and schools are engaged in these activities. The research enterprise at Auburn University is coordinated through the Office of the Associate Provost and Vice President for Research. Through pursuit of knowledge, advancement of understanding and innovation in the many academic disciplines that define Auburn University, the faculty creates an environment designed to prepare students at all levels to become thoughtful, creative and productive leaders. Innovation, driven by research and creative scholarship led by the Auburn University faculty, contributes in important and tangible ways to economic development and advancement of society.
