Forestry & Wildlife Sciences 75th Anniversary

The Auburn University School of Forestry and Wildlife Sciences is commemorating its 75th anniversary with a yearlong anniversary celebration, which began in the spring of 2021. “During its 75-year history, Auburn has produced thousands of well-qualified graduates, provided citizens with science-based knowledge to improve their quality of life and developed solutions to some of society’s most complex natural resource challenges,” said Dean Janaki Alavalapati.

When COVID-19 first swept across the country in March 2020, most Americans were forced to work from home, isolating themselves from others to reduce the virus’ rampant spread. Health care workers did not have that option. They went to work and faced the crisis head-on. Alumni of Auburn University’s School of Nursing were among those on the front lines in 2020 and remain there now, as vigilant and determined as ever.
