Auburn University seeks nominations for inaugural Inclusive Excellence and Diversity awards

Auburn University's Office of Inclusion and Diversity is seeking nominations for its inaugural University Awards for Inclusive Excellence and Diversity. The awards celebrate exceptional contributions that will help advance the work of diversity and enhance a culture of inclusion at Auburn.

"As we seek to establish diversity as a core value at Auburn University, these awards will recognize those individuals who are leading the way in building unity, equity and inclusion at our university and in our community," said Taffye Benson Clayton, associate provost and vice president for inclusion and diversity.

Award categories include faculty, staff, undergraduate student, graduate or professional student, interdisciplinary collaboration, student organization, alumni and community member or organization.

Winners will have a demonstrated record of developing and implementing effective methods in support of institutional diversity and inclusion and possess practical knowledge of cultural intelligence and humility. Winners will be recognized at an awards ceremony Thursday, April 18, at the Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art.

Nominations can be submitted online at https://aub.ie/oidawards. The deadline to submit a nomination is 5 p.m., Thursday, March 15.
