Auburn University was recognized with 28 awards – the most of any university – at this year's Council for Advancement and Support of Education District III Conference Feb. 13 in Atlanta. The recognition included five Grand Awards given to the university's Office of Development, Office of Alumni Affairs and Samuel Ginn College of Engineering.

The Office of Development earned two Grand Awards – one for its “Because This is Auburn" campaign quarterly tabloid and one for the Alabama Prison Arts + Education Project brochure.

"These awards represent an acknowledgement by our peers of the exceptional quality of work produced by the Development Communications and Marketing team in support of Auburn University's fundraising efforts," said Jane DiFolco Parker. “They are a testament to the team's highly creative and very strategic approach, and I am extremely proud of their work and the well-deserved recognition these awards signify."

Alumni Affairs' 125 Years of Auburn Women campaign earned a Grand Award in the alumni relations engagement project category. Alumni Affairs also received a Grand Award for the spring 2017 Auburn Magazine cover.

“It is an honor to be recognized on a national scale by CASE through these awards and by peers in this industry," said Jessica King, director of communications and marketing for the Office of Alumni Affairs. “Programs such as the 125th Anniversary of Auburn Women are a reflection of the collaboration and partnership that exists at Auburn. The Auburn Alumni Association is proud to be a part of the movement towards greater engagement and connection of our alumni back to this incredible institution."

The Samuel Ginn College of Engineering also earned a grand award for its fall 2016 engineering magazine.

“These awards are a testament to the dedication and passion our staff has for promoting, marketing and telling the amazing stories within Auburn Engineering," said Jim Killian, director of engineering communications and marketing. “It is our pleasure and honor to spread the message of our elite students, innovative research, distinguished alumni and the best student-centered engineering experience in America."
