Auburn University graduate Kenneth "Ryder" Digmon of Thomasville, Alabama, has been awarded a German Academic Exchange Service Scholarship, or DAAD. A fall 2016 graduate in the Raymond J. Harbert College of Business with a degree in supply chain management and a minor in German, Digmon will pursue a Master of Science degree in business administration with concentrations in supply chain management and information systems at the University of Cologne.

NASA has called it the "most significant advance in astronomy since Galileo's telescope." It has been orbiting 340 miles above the Earth's surface since its launch from Space Shuttle Discovery on April 24, 1990. Since then, scientists have used its unobstructed view of the universe to make more than one million observations about planets, stars, black holes and galaxies.

Auburn Foods is the brand that encompasses local foods produced on campus or in the community and then is served at dining locations at the university.

A $12 million commitment from James W. "Jimmy" Rane and the Rane family will create a new culinary science center at Auburn University. At its April 7 meeting, the Auburn University Board of Trustees approved the naming of the facility as the Tony and Libba Rane Culinary Science Center in honor of Rane’s parents.

Auburn University officials have released plans for the $4 million Mell Corridor project. The project, approved during the April 7 Auburn University Board of Trustees meeting, will include a separated bicycle and pedestrian walkway, new seating and gathering space adjacent to the Mell Classroom Building, a significant outdoor dining promenade, relocated accessible parking lot space for Mary Martin Hall and a permanent welcome kiosk at the intersection of College Street and West Thach Avenue.
